Olaf Scholz called on Russia for a fair peace after three years of war in Ukraine, and the support of Ukraine was also declared by European leaders at the London summit.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called on Russia to finally seek to achieve a fair peace after three years of war in Ukraine. Similarly, after Saturday’s virtual summit of about 30 European leaders in London, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof also commented on which it is necessary to put pressure on Moscow to proceed to the ceasefire. TASR reports on this based on AFP reports.

Scholz called Russia to stop the attacks

“It is now up to Russia to stop its everyday attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure and finally set out on a permanent and fair peace,” Scholz said after the London Summit, the coalition of the willing coalition called British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

After a virtual meeting on the X platform, the Dutch Prime Minister Schoof wrote that “it is now important to continue to put pressure on Russia to proceed to the negotiating table”.

Among the European leaders who participated in the summit, there was, in his words, “Wide Conservation” in terms of continuing military and financial support of Ukraine. He described the proposals for a ceasefire by the US and Ukraine as hopeful and warned that Europe continues to prepare new anti -Russian sanctions, writes AFP.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also attended the summit. According to the Italian Government’s statement, she declared that Rome intends to continue cooperation with European and Western partners, including the United States, in an effort to define credible and effective security guarantees of Kiev. She added, however, that it does not count on the participation of Italy in potential future foreign peace troops in Ukraine.
