The flood of Rio Acre already reaches more than 20 neighborhoods in the Acrean capital on Friday (14), among them Ayrton Senna, where his Francisco Idalino lives for about 18 years, and that aboard his canoe, faces another flood, amid dark and contaminated water, without losing resilience and good mood.
His Zé Galinha, as he likes to be called, spoke to the team of ContilNet About the situation of the place, which was one of the first neighborhoods to be hit by the waters, so far, leaving about 20 families hit, among homeless and displaced.

He, who lives alone, says that not to leave his house decided to build a slab, where he will take shelter if the water covers his house completely. Warmed since 4 am, his Alcemir helped remove some neighbors who were surprised by the significant climb of the waters at night.
“Everything is me here, every year. They stole my canoe, is already the fourth canoe in these floods. This one I paid yesterday $ 2,000, went to get at the end of the caulking, because I was islanded, ”he says.

One of the biggest challenges faced by him, caused by the lack of basic sanitation in the region, is the contaminated waters. With the Acre River filling, the sewers are dammed, causing the dark waters to take over the streets and the strong odor takes over the place.
“When it gave 3 hours it started to rise and this black water came, I don’t know where it comes from, if it’s the river that is rising and pushing all the clogged sewage,” he says.

Despite all the difficulties faced over the years in the midst of several floods, he does not consider leaving the scene and faces the situation with courage and resilience.
“It is having faith in God, I do not lighten, while I trust in life I have faith in God. It’s the hottest thing I think of my life, it’s colony and this here, I don’t like town. This here for me is a enjoyment, ”he reveals.
