For decades I will threaten to eliminate Israel, which defines it as “the little Satan.” The Ayatollahs regime has decided to launch an espionage operation in Israel and managed to recruit numerous Israelites to obtain information about strategic locations in Israel and to pay against Israeli government figures.
There had never been something like that. Iranian secret services managed to recruit at least 30 Israelite Jews as spies that transmit information to Tehran. So far, Israeli counter-espionage has arrested about three dozen people.
Most were recruited to photograph military bases, Dimona’s nuclear reactor, Ben Gurion International Airport and follow the steps of Generals, former defense ministers and Israeli nuclear scientists.
“We are talking about the adoption of Israel’s action methods, because that is exactly what Israel does in Iran. So, they think that if they use the same methods, who knows, it will put the Iran on the same level as Israel,” says Ben Drop Yemini, Israeli analyst.
Some of the spies received thousands of dollars to perform their actions after being recruited through social networks. At least one of them was in Tehran to maintain contacts with their operators.
Although in the early decades of the state of Israel there were already Jewish spies who worked for the Soviet Union in the middle of Cold War, no one imagined that the number one enemy of Israel, Iran, could recruit Israeli Jews to perform espionage missions in exchange for money.
And even less in the War, the longest in Israel, in which, for the first time in history, Iran directly attacked the Jewish state with hundreds of missiles. Among Iran’s collaborators, there are new newly arrived immigrants, army deserters, sexual and ultra-Orthodox delinquents who have not served in the Armed Forces.
Israel has undergone in recent years against Iranian nuclear scientists and their secret services use a vast network of local Iranian agents working for Israel for ideological and/or economic reasons. Iran decided to answer in the same coin.
“Suddenly the world thought that perhaps it was actually a distraction maneuver. Perhaps they have a much more sophisticated espionage system, and all we are discovering is just the least serious part so we don’t know about the really important part. Everything is possible. ” explained Ben Dorr Yemini, Israeli analyst
These days, the Israelites celebrate the Purim party, the Jewish Carnival, in a different environment than usual. According to tradition, which recalls the story of the Jewish Queen Esther in ancient Persia, four centuries before Christ, the queen saved her people who were being persecuted.
Today, the descendants of the Persians, the Iranian government, remain the number one enemy of the Jewish state. The brain war between the secret services on both sides is increasingly intense.
