State Deputy of São Paulo received 88 of the 92 votes and defeated Paula from the feminist bench, from PSOL

The state deputy (PL) was reelected, this Saturday (15.mar.2025), president of the (Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo) for the biennium 2025-2027. With 88 votes, from the 92 in dispute, received wide approval from the São Paulo Legislature. Defeated the state deputy (PSOL).

In his inaugural speech, he highlighted the advances of the house in the last 2 years, citing the importance of dialogue and independence of the São Paulo legislature. “Being reappointed to the presidency of Alesp is a great honor and at the same time a huge responsibility. Parliament is the basis of democracy and it is up to us, representatives elected by the people, to guarantee its full functioning with transparency, independence and commitment to the interests of society ”he said.

During its management, Alesp approved of more than 270 projects in plenary, 206 of parliamentary authorship and 65 of other powers. In addition, more than 150 public hearings and 51 traveling budget meetings throughout the state were held. In the first term of the deputy there was also the expansion of the Alesp Network in partnership with the Padre Anchieta Foundation, with the objective of expanding legislative communication and reaching 90% of the municipalities of São Paulo.

André do Prado also cited the initiatives aimed at valuing the servers and the governance of the house, such as the creation of a specific area for this purpose and the implementation of behavioral booklet, a work that earned Alesp the award for good practices in public administration, granted by the Federation of Public Servants Unions of the State of São Paulo.

“Over the next 2 years, we will have new challenges, demands and opportunities. With dialogue, respect and commitment to the interests of the population of São Paulo, this assembly will continue to advance and consolidate its protagonism in the political and social life of our state ”said the reelected president.

He thanked the parliamentarians for his confidence, highlighting the joint work with the Board of Directors, the College of Leaders and all the servers of the house. “We live a new time at Alesp! Let us together build an increasingly strong, representative and active Parliament ”he said.
