Recent History at F1

In 2024, something similar happened in the GP of São Paulo. Due to heavy rains in Interlagos at the time, the classification, which would take place on Saturday, was postponed. The dispute was held only on Sunday at 7:30 am.

Because of this, the race, which traditionally happens at 14h in the state capital, also changed time, being advanced to 12:30.

What is the weather forecast for the Australia GP?

The forecast is rain for the moment of the race is large, with 50%peaks. The minimum temperature is 12ºC and the maximum, 24ºC, with wind speed of 29 km/h.

What is the strategy for Australia GP with confirmed rain?

In the most likely scenario of heavy rain before and during the race, the start should be done with the heavy rain tires under the safety car. If the track gets wet, but the rain stops at the time of the beginning, the most suitable strategy is to put the intermediaries.

In other more remote hypotheses, if the track dries after the start of the race, pilots should change intermediary to tights, more specifically hard, so as not to make any pit stop until the end.

If the track is dry before the race starts, the strategy should be medium -> hard, with at least two stops.
