Voters who did not vote or justified absence in the last 3 elections have until May 19 to organize the electoral situation

Keeping the regular voter title is critical to voting in the elections and exercising democracy. The regular electoral situation allows each voter or voter to have the opportunity to influence the public policies of the municipality, its state and the country and contribute to the construction of a more representative society.

Voters and voters who did not attend the last 3 claims without justification or payment of a fine are considered missing voters. The account should be made considering regular or consecutive supplementary elections, each shift being an election. The period for regularization of the electoral situation runs until May 19.

It is important to highlight that those who are up to date with the Electoral Justice can:

  • register and participate in a public tender, as well as take office in the position won;
  • Receive salaries, salaries, earnings or any remuneration of public office or public function, municipal, parastatal or companies and foundations maintained or subsidized by the government;
  • Participate in public or administrative competition from the Union, the States, the Municipalities, the Municipalities or the similar entities;
  • Get passport or identity card;
  • renew enrollment in educational establishments official or supervised by the government; and
  • Perform any act that requires discharge of military service or income tax.

How do I regularize the voter title?

The Electoral Court advises that voters will access, until May 19, that of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) and in the option “consult electoral situation” or the Tres (Regional Electoral Courts) to verify that they are on the list of cancellation titles. The service is completely free and must be performed only on official Je.

The person must access the electoral justice sites or the application e-title and make the payment of existing debts. It can also attend the electoral registry at office hours.

For this, it must present the following documents (depending on the situation of each voter):

  • official photo document that proves your identity (mandatory);
  • electoral title or e-title;
  • Voting proofs;
  • evidence of electoral justifications; and
  • Proof of dismissal of payment or, if it has not been given low, the proof of the payment of the fines.

Fine

If the voter or voter did not vote or justified the absence, a fine by a shift will be imposed, defined by the electoral judge. Payment can be made via electoral self-service, e-title or in the notary’s office (ticket, pix or card). Debt discharge registration occurs automatically after payment.

If the person declares the impossibility of payment, the judge may dispense with the fine.
