Caciques of and gathered on Wednesday (12) to discuss a possible alliance between the two parties.
The conversation took place at the official residence of the other party representatives who attended were the president of the subtitle, Marcos Pereira (SP), and, by video conferencing, the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas.
On the toucan side participated the deputies Aécio Neves (MG), Paulo Abi-Akel (MG) and Adolfo Viana (BA).
One of the possibilities analyzed was a fusion between the two parties, proposed by the Republicans. The toucans did not rule out, but said that the priority at the moment is to form a federation with the Somos and, later, with solidarity.
“With this, we will have a bench of about 40 deputies and a center project that can attract more dissatisfied parliamentarians with the current situation of polarization,” says Aécio.
Already the Republicans negotiated a federation with PP and União Brasil, but gave up the conversations.
During Tarcisio’s participation, there was no talk about presidential candidacy. The PSDB has as pre-candidate the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite, but party leaders do not rule out support to the governor of São Paulo, if he tries the Planalto Palace in 2026.
