The Prime Minister’s family may face a fine of 100,000 euros for possible violation of the legal regime.
Luís Montenegro’s youngest son only informed the Lisbon Chamber about the works in two apartments, in the parish of Estrela, after the media raised doubts about this communication to the municipality.
According to the the communication to the House was made on March 1, almost two months after the start of the work in the apartments, located in the same building.
The newspaper said that it may be the violation of a legal regime, with the Prime Minister’s family to risk a fine of 100,000 euros.
The works began in January and are expected to end in late March. The goal of the Prime Minister’s family is to transform the two apartments into a duplex.
However, the prime minister moved to the official residence in São Bento.
