The governor of São Paulo, (Republicans), sanctioned a law that establishes rules for the provision of delivery services in the state of São Paulo. The decision involves the obligation of deliveries carry specific labels in their backpacks or chests a QR code and a validation chip, allowing the real -time confirmation of the relationship between the professional and the company, thus contributing to the prevention of crimes and fraudulent actions. Today, most deliveries in the state are made without tracking or inspection, including those made through applications.

According to state management, the goal is to increase safety for both consumers and professionals in the sector. The decision also results in actions by the companies providing delivery services, as well as the intermediaries, who will have to maintain an updated registration of professionals. “The registration must contain data such as full name, identity document, address, phone, email, photo, national driver’s license (CNH) and characteristics of the vehicle used in the provision of the service,” says Freitas Management.

According to the State, non -compliance with determinations will result in penalties to companies, such as warnings, fines and, in more severe cases, suspension of activities.
