A teenager died after being hit by a train from the São Paulo Metropolitan Train Company (CPTM) on Saturday morning (15). According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), the 16 -year -old victim jumped the wall of a station to seek a ball that was in the railway. He was even rescued at Tatuapé Hospital in the East Zone, but could not resist his injuries. The case was registered as an accidental death in the 31st DP (Vila Carrão), which requested expertise in a note, CPTM stated that the accident occurred around 9:30 am in the stations between Eng. Goulart and Tatuapé, Line 12-Safira. The boy was hit by a train that was heading towards Brás. The company regretted the incident and said they collaborate with the investigations. In the text, CPTM also states that security is a priority of the company and, therefore, access to the railway “is prohibited, according to the General Standard of Transport, Traffic and Security, NTS, supported by Federal Decree 1,832, of 04/04/1996.”
