US President Donald Trump says he ordered a “decisive” military action against the Houthis rebels in Yemen, opening a new save against the Iran -supported group that targets Red Sea navigation routes.

The US president also made a warning to Iran, saying that he should “immediately” end support for the group. He warned that if Iran threatened the American people or its president, “America will fully blame them and we will not be kind to it!”
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi countered in an X post on Sunday.
“The United States government has no authority, or business, dictating Iranian foreign policy,” he wrote.
“They end with support for genocide and Israeli terrorism. Stop killing the Yemeni people, ”he added.
There were fatalities in the capital of Yemen, Sanaa and the province of Sada, to the north, according to the Ministry of Health.
In Saada, the attacks targeted a power plant in the city of Dahyan, causing a power outage in the city and its suburbs, said TV Al-Masirah, run by.
The attacks also hit military places in the city of Taiz, southwest of Yemen, Reuters said, citing two witnesses.

Trump approved the Houthi attack plan – which he requested that it was prepared several weeks ago – at the end of last week, and the final order was given on Saturday (15).

Other actions will depend on battle damage assessments of this series of attacks, a US defense officer told CNN. But more actions are expected to be actions in the coming weeks.
The attack campaign took time to be organized and planned, as the US had to collect the intelligence needed to perform broader offensives against the group. A high military officer recently said to CNN that the information collection was completed.
The Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, discussed the attacks with Russian, Sergei Lavrov, emphasizing that “the continuous attacks of the Houthis against US military and commercial ships in the Red Sea will not be tolerated,” according to a state department reading.
Last year Russia was prepared to deliver weapons to the Houthis, but retreated after pressure from the US and Saudi Arabia.
The US has worked to degrade the Houthis for months, while the entity worked to stop navigation routes in the Red Sea, one of the busiest waterways in the world.
The group made more than 100 ships and vessels, including drones, missiles and small ships.
The Biden government tried to respond by conducting attacks on Hethis positions in Yemen, including attacks on underground weapon storage facilities in October and November, but actions did not prevent further attacks.
The Houthis previously promised to interrupt the ships attacks in the Red Sea as long as the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas was maintained.
For over a year, the group has carried out attacks on cargo vessels, in revenge against Israel for their military campaign in Gaza, leading to a long crisis in the bustling sea navigation corridor.
