It reported it on Monday (17) the leakage of personal data linked to 25,349 keys under the responsibility of Fintech Qi SCD (Qi Direct Credit Society). This was the first security incident recorded in 2025 by the monetary authority.
According to the BC, the leakage occurred due to “punctual failures” in the institution’s systems and no sensitive data such as passwords, movements and financial balances or other information under bank confidentiality were exposed.
From February 23 to March 6, data was exposed as user name, CPF with mask, relationship institution, agency, number and account type.
“The information obtained is of a registration nature, which does not allow resource movement, nor access to accounts or other financial information,” said the BC.
The monetary authority also reported that affected people will be notified exclusively through the application or by the Internet banking of the user’s relationship institution.
According to the BC, no other media will be used with users who had the data exposed, such as messaging applications, phone calls, SMS or email.
Also according to the municipality, the necessary actions were adopted for the detailed calculation of the case and the sanctioning measures provided for in the regulation will be applied.
