The National Citizenship Directory unanimously decided to break the Federation with the PSDB. The decision confirms the deliberation of the national executive, which last month had already voted for the end of the alliance with the toucans.
“The federation is past; Let’s go ahead, resuming the protagonism of our identity, which should point out where citizenship intends to walk, ”said national president Comte Bittencourt during an acronym event in Brasilia on Sunday, 16.
The Federation has been in force since the 2022 elections, but behind the scenes, citizenship members complain that the party has lost space and was in the background in the face of the preponderance of the PSDB, as revealed to Estadão column. The party states that the alliance with the toucans led to the loss of state and federal deputies, as well as councilors and mayors.

Comte Bittencourt stated that the party needs “wisdom, tranquility and balance” to define whether the next election alone will be played or if a new federation will be sought within the democratic field. Among the negotiation acronyms is the PSB.
The national board intends to meet with the state leaders over the next month to discuss the possible scenarios. The party highlights as essential flags the defense of democracy, the urgency of measures against the climate crisis and the fight against privileges, such as supersalars.
