The Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, said on Monday (17) that the one for those convicted of the acts of January 8 “is not an agenda of Brazil”, but an isolated theme, defended by radical sectors of society.
In an interview with CNNCosta Filho stressed that the matter is an issue that is up to the Supreme Court (STF) to analyze, and said: “I think it is not an agenda from Brazil, it is an isolated agenda of more radical sectors of society. It is a matter of the Federal Supreme Court. I think what has to be discussed is the typification of the complaint and the typification of convictions, and I hope the Supreme can fulfill its institutional role. ”
The minister also made harsh criticism of the (PL) last Sunday (16), on the edge of Copacabana. Costa Filho stated that the event was emptied and did not bring concrete policies.

“It was a empty act. Clearly, it is an agenda that does not dialogue with Brazilian society. And what caught my attention most was that I did not hear, at any time, a proposal for Brazil. What has been seen were criticism and no pedagogical proposal for Brazil, as a cause in public safety, education or a social cause, ”he said.
Costa Filho also criticized the climate of constant political dispute in the country, stating that “Brazil is tired of fighting, of Arenga, as it is said in the Northeast. People want institutional peace. ”
The act of Copacabana had as its main agenda the amnesty request for those involved in the scammer acts of 8 January. A bill on this topic has been debated in the House of Representatives since last year, and the opposition intends to file an urgent request for the text later this week.
