If you want your clothes to be pretty fragrant and soft, you will use fabric softener, right? The product is literally to make the laundry soft and easy to iron. But that’s a big mistake. The fabric softener has a large number of disadvantages. It contains fragrant and preservatives, dyes and biologically poorly degradable substances. These are toxic to nature and accumulate in the aquatic environment. You can’t also use fabric softener for everything. It is known for reducing absorbency. Which means it is definitely not suitable for towels or sportswear. Fortunately, there is a cheap and natural alternative.

Vinegar as a softener
Vinegar has already proved to be a completely universal means that you can use in the kitchen for cooking and as a very effective cleaning agent. Now he has proven himself as an alternative to fabric softener. Vinegar has only all the advantages over fabric softening. First, it is hypoallergenic. This means that it does not contain any dyes that can cause skin irritation. Another advantage is, of course, lower price. Finally, it cannot be mentioned that vinegar is environmentally friendly and leaves your washing machine cleaner than fabric softener.
So how to use vinegar as an alternative to fabric softener? This is quite simple. On average large laundry, it is ideal to use about half a cup of white vinegar. But now it is necessary to explain why the vinegar is effective as a softener. When you use excessive detergent or fabric softener when washing, the residues of the product and various impurities remain in the fibers. The resulting is therefore scratched and non -haired towels, catching odors and dirty colors on clothes.
Natural, cheaper, more gentle
Discilled white vinegar is a five percent solution of acetic acid. It is strong enough to dissolve the remnants of alkaline soap and fabric softener that accumulated on the fibers. At the same time, however, it is soft enough to prevent individual fabrics to damage. By removing the vinegar these residues and lumps, the substance will be softer and more soft to the touch.
