Liga closes 25 years partnership with Nike and starts agreement with the German brand from the 2025-2026 season
Premier League has made Puma official as its new ball supplier, from the 2025-2026 season. The was done this Monday (17.mar.2025) and ends the long partnership of 25 years with Nike. The change marks the end of the contract with Nike and the choice of Puma as a new league supplier.
“We are very happy to receive Puma as an official premier League ball supplier”, disse Richard Masters, CEO da Premier League.
Puma has been a sponsor of Manchester City since 2019 and has maintained contracts with league players. The company has provided balls for Serie A since season 2022-23 and LA Liga since 2019-20. In addition, it is an official supplier of EFL (English Football League) balls since the 2021-22 season.
Nike, a premier League ball supplier since the 2000-01 season, has produced at least two balls per season by 2019-2020.
Supplier change can influence community initiatives and campaigns promoted by Premier League. During the partnership with Nike, the League boosted several initiatives, including the campaign against racism “No Room for Racism” and the “Rainbow Laces” campaign, a campaign to promote the diversity and inclusion of the LGBT+people. Puma now has the opportunity to contribute to its own initiatives.
