The Great Wine Show of Portugal returns to the Albufeira Multipurpose Space (EMA) between April 11 and 13, in the one that promises to be the largest edition of the event. This year, the show will bring together 120 producers and will offer a selection of 800 wines, consolidating itself as one of the main events of the sector at national level.
The 2024 edition had about 9,000 visitors, confirming the growing interest of the public and professionals for the event. In 2025, the show bets on a reinforced format, highlighting the creation of a broad area of gastronomy and, for the first time, the inclusion of traditional confectionery, providing an even more complete experience to participants.
The program also includes the 10th Portugal Wine Contest, which will evaluate about 150 wines, a record number for this competition.
The event was presented last Friday, on the Lisbon Tourism Stock Exchange (BTL), with the interventions of Carlos Oliveira, Chancellor of the Bacchus of Albufeira, and José Carlos Rolo, mayor of Albufeira, who highlighted the growing importance of the show for the promotion of wines and the region.
The 14th edition of the event will operate between 15:00 and 20:00, with free admission, being necessary to purchase the official glass (5 euros) for the tests.
With a history of great adhesion, the great wine show of Portugal continues to assert itself as a privileged meeting point for producers, professionals and wine lovers, promoting the diversity and quality of Portuguese wines.
The initiative is organized by, in partnership with the Albufeira City Council and with the support of the Algarve Tourism Region and APAL – Albufeira Promotion Agency.
