Netanyahu returns to war in the midst of a crisis for his dismissal of the Chief of Intelligence

The Israeli prime minister, ordered a return to the war in Gaza, after throwing a massive attack on the strip and thus break the high fire for two months with Hamas, which raised protests and demonstrations planned for this Tuesday.

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Minister of Defense, Yisrael Katz, have ordered the Israel Defense Forces to,” Netanyahu’s office reported in a statement published twenty minutes after two in the morning local time.

A quarter of an hour later, in another statement, the army said they were carrying out “broad attacks against terrorist objectives belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip.”

These attacks, which have occurred in several areas of the north and south of Gaza, have caused the death of at least 244 people, according to the Gazati government, and suppose the rupture of the high fire by Israel almost two months after January 19 began the truce.

The bombings on Gaza take place shortly after Netanyahu sent to Cairo a delegation to continue negotiating the truce, which his government reported on Monday back to Israel.

And in the midst of a new crisis in Israel after the prime minister announced on Sunday that aims to say goodbye to the Director of the Internal Intelligence Service (Shin Bet), Ronen Bar, which raised the criticisms of the opposition and the State Attorney General, Gali Baharav-Miara, who warned of his illegality and the conflict of interests that he can suppose.

The Executive’s vote to dismiss Bar was scheduled for this Wednesday, but Israeli media reported Monday that it would finally be held today, although the attorney general warned that this dismissal will not be able to get ahead until “the factual and legal funds are reviewed” that support the decision.

The Shin Bet is currently investigating – after the Attorney General ordered – several ex -muds and spokesmen of the Netanyahu office for the ‘cathargate’ scandal, which splashes them with alleged financial links with this Gulf country.

Before the announcement of Netanyahu, two demonstrations of protest have been convened on Tuesday in Jerusalem and a third in Tel Aviv, which at the moment are still standing.
