The 1st Caldeirão Market will take place next Sunday, March 23, at the São Brás de Alportel Municipal Market, between 10:00 and 17:00, with free admission.
The event will be attended by several producers of Serra do Caldeirão, bringing to the public a selection of honey, olive oil, hopes, liqueurs, sausages, cheeses and agricultural products in the region. In addition to the mountainous flavors, visitors will be able to find traditional crafts of the interior Algarve, highlighting pieces in cork, contract, fabrics and ceramic, elaborated by the talented local artisans.
The wine will be one of the great highlights of this market, with the possibility of proving more than 30 wine references of 10 Algarve producers. As a special guest, the Carcavelos Wine Beachy Confraternity will be present with the liqueur wine “Villa Oeiras”, reinforcing the connection established with the Serra do Caldeirão Gastronomic Brotherhood, through a collaboration protocol signed on March 13.
Throughout the day, there will be gastronomic demonstrations in charge of “flavors of the rita”, chef Pedro Santos, Otília Cardeira and the on -site association. A presentation of the Black Mole Wines is also scheduled, led by winemaker Gilmar Brito.
The musical animation will be guaranteed by the Portuguese traditional music group “Vozes do Barrocal”, providing an even more authentic and festive environment to the event.
The Caldeirão Market has the partnership of the Algarve Wine Commission, and also receives the support of the Bacchus Confraria de Albufeira.
