Beware of caffeine, plants do not testify

But beware, the disadvantage is caffeine, which, as we also know, contains coffee. Therefore, we are defacto drinking it for encouragement. And caffeine as such plants can hurt, for example, by growing stunted and not doing well. The reason why gardeners support the growth of some plants with a coffee grounds, and not directly ground coffee is that a significant portion of caffeine leaves along with hot water. In addition, such a Turk (we mean Turkish coffee) is almost nothing if you compare it with products for acidification of land from the horticulture.

How to acidify the soil of rhododendrons with coffee grounds

Do not add sugar or milk type, whether cow or soy and the like. Allow the coffee lógr to dry after drinking. Then sprinkle around the roots of rhododendrons or azaleas and work just as you add other fertilizer. It is not only advisable to sprinkle the surface of the soil around the plants, because then water does not have to reach the roots, which is an undesirable factor.

Thanks to the lógr, you will also get elements such as potassium or magnesium, and this is good for the plants for their nutrition.

For rhododendrons, take care of a pH in the range of 4 to 5. Azaleas can withstand a little higher.

And something else – some animals of aroma do not like coffee and it can be a way to discourage uninvited guests from visiting your beautiful garden full of flowers and fruiting plants. These include ants and slugs.
