There are UFOs that are not what we thought

New ultravenile galaxies are similar to the Milky Way, but much more dusty. What do they tell us about the universe?

You can think of UFOs (unidentified flying objects) as strange extraterrestrial cosmic objects that flutter on the earth. But the webb telescope took us the rain horse: UFOs exist, but they are something else, completely different-but no less interesting.

It was the James Webb (JWST) space telescope that first detected galaxies known as Ultra -red flat objects, or UFOs (because in English your acronym is UFO – equal to UFO).

Now a new one published in 2024 in The Astrophysical Journal That analyzes them gives us a little more about them-they have a form similar to our galaxy, but they have much more dust.

“JWST allows us to see this kind of galaxy that we would never have been able to see before,” said the main author, Justus Gibson, Ao. “We tell us that we may not understand the universe as well as we thought.”

“They are visually so impressive,” said astrophysics Erica Nelson. “They are huge red records that appear in these images and were totally unexpected. They make us think, ‘What? As?'”.

UFO galaxies look red because they emit very little visible light. Most of the light that escapes these galaxies is infrared radiationand the low visible light that emit is at the limit of what human eyes are able to see.

The Hubble Observatory had, therefore, difficulties in observing them. But webb collects infrared light, not just what is visible, so it was easier to view them.

These galaxies “have large and bad records – like our house, the Milky Way – to fly through space, completely invisible to us,” explain the authors.

Have so much dust that this is sufficient to Block about 50 times more light to radiate to the space than the Milky Way. It is not known for sure how they are so dusty.

Can have many shapes and sizes, from discs similar to frisbeessoccer balls and spheres. Now researchers continue to look for answers. For now, more questions persist than certainty.
