Why do you need an evacuation backpack?

There are minutes in the crisis situation. Searching for documents, medicines, clothing or food at the last minute means risking your life and health. The evacuation backpack is intended to avoid having to think about what to pack in the event of a rapid evacuation. You simply catch it and leave.

The Ministry of the Slovak Republic has also established Baggage weight limitsthat you should follow in the evacuation:

  • Adult: max. 25 kg
  • Child: max. 15 kg
  • Handing baggage: Max. 5 kg (except the main baggage)

The basic things you should have in the evacuation backpack

According to the recommendations of the Ministry of the Slovak Republic, the evacuation backpack should contain The following necessities:

🔹 Personal documents (civil and driving license, passport, policyholder card) + money, credit cards and valuables

🔹 Medicines and Medical Aids (especially if you are taking medications regularly)

🔹 Food and drinking water for 2-3 days (durable foods, canned food, energy bars)

🔹 Personal hygiene objects (toothbrush, paste, handkerchiefs, hand disinfection)

🔹 Pocket lamp (ideal for batteries or with charging through a crank)

🔹 A blanket or sleeping bag (for the time that it will be necessary to sleep away from home)

🔹 Spare clothes and shoes (warm socks, waterproof coat, comfortable shoes)

🔹 Energy store (PowerBanka, spare batteries)

🔹 Multifunctional tool (knife, can opener, small tools)

🔹 Notebook and pen (for important information)

🔹 Hygienic supplies for children (If you have a small baby – diapers, wet wipes, baby diet)

How to prepare the evacuation backpack?
