Common practice is to add salt during cooking to highlight their taste. It is usually added when the water in the pot begins to boil. However, there is a much better and tastier way to spice potatoes. It also has a beneficial effect on our health.
Kitchen salt is an essential companion of many meals. It is a basic spice and preservative. It is almost pure sodium chloride, which occurs in the form of a cleaned evaporated salt or unrefined and thicker – stone salt. Sometimes manufacturers enrich it with iodine ions – an element necessary for health, which is also involved in the functioning of the thyroid gland. A small amount of salt helps to supply the body with an adequate dose of sodium, which is needed, among other things, eg. for proper heart activity.
However, you cannot consume it in any amount and many people unfortunately tend to exaggerate. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends consuming a maximum of 5 grams of kitchen salt a day – this is the equivalent of one teaspoon. People suffering from hypertension should be treated even more carefully.

However, many people cannot imagine restricting the salt in the diet. They often do not know how to replace it. Herbal mixtures can be useful.
