Blanár responds to Trump’s call with Putin: What does he think of their conversation?

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár on Wednesday welcomed the peaceful efforts of US President Donald Trump, who on Tuesday phoned his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. TASR informs about this on the basis of a contribution of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Facebook.

“Both officials agreed on the need for mutual communication and seeking sustainable solutions so that such conflicts should not be repeated. All the more powerful message is the year when we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. If we are to pass something to the next generations, it is especially peace,“said Blanár.

The Russian President, according to the Kremlin’s statement, agreed to Trump’s proposal to Russia and Ukraine for 30 days stopped mutual attacks on energy infrastructure. Putin gave the appropriate order of the Russian army.

The leaders agreed in the phone call that Russia and the United States will create expert groups to end the war in Ukraine. Putin told Trump that he was ready to seek a permanent solution to the situation together. But at the same time he pointed out that It must be a solution that will be “complex, sustainable and long -term” And which will take into account the security interests of Russia and the underlying causes of the conflict.

Putin also set a complete stopping of foreign military aid and exchange of intelligence with Ukraine as a condition of ending the war. He described this as crucial in order not to Czech and to redirect its solution to the political and diplomatic level.
