According to one From 2023, Portugal is the second country in Europe with the lowest financial literacy.
Financial literacy is basically measured by people’s knowledge of topics such as interest, inflation or different investment categories and their risks.
Our low installment at this level is reflected in behaviors that do not help people take the best party from their savings and that make money lose value, in the face of inflation, over the years.
Emília Vieira is the founder, CEO and responsible for the asset management of in Braga. He has a degree in Business Management from the University of Minho and Master in Finance from the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom.
He began his career at the Portuguese Banco do Atlântico, where he worked from 1989 to 1995. From 1995 to 2009, he taught and consulting quantitative financial engineering and financial markets, collaborating with top financial institutions in various global cities, including Lisboa, London, Paris and New York.
For three years, he worked with the Swiss Business Finance Department (UBS) in the evaluation of companies and the preparation of public sales offers in London, Zurich and New York.
