Government agreed on budget timetable

Vienna – The federal government has agreed on a budget schedule. Accordingly, negotiations of the finance department begin with the individual ministries “in the coming days”, as State Secretary Michaela Schmidt (SPÖ) announced on Wednesday after the Council of Ministers. The talks should last until April, the budget speech by Finance Minister Markus Marterbauer (SPÖ) in the National Council is scheduled for May 13th. The parliamentary process should then be completed on July 1st.
