Quarteira’s 1052 Scout Grouping was present in Évora at the XIV Rock in Scouts edition, a scout music contest organized by the 890-Evora group pioneering community, which took place last March 15.
Quarteira was represented with two bands, musical adventures and Symphony of Scouting, and also had an individual competitor, the pioneer Dinis Coelho, who made history by becoming the first solo participant of the contest.
Among the eight performances in competition, Group 1052 stood out by winning two important awards. The band Musical Adventures raised first place, with the original song “What I learned”, while Dinis Coelho received the award for best interpreter, reinforcing the talent and dedication of the quarter scouts.
This was the fifth consecutive participation of Rock in Scouts, counting not only on its competing bands, but also with the support of several scouts and supporters, who contributed to the raising of the pioneers of the 890-Evora group pioneers.
