Baked lower legs are a rarity, and at the same time the simplest of chicken dishes. Such a dinner is practically alone. The secret of its taste lies in marinade, and not from expensive or hard to reach ingredients. Chicken in village It requires a combination of several popular spices.
It is important that the meat acquires their aroma, so you should think about preparing this dish the day before.
- 6 chicken lower legs,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 1 teaspoon of sweet pepper,
- 1 branch of rosemary (fresh),
- ½ teaspoon honey,
- 1 tablespoon of mustard,
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil,
- salt, freshly ground pepper (to taste),
- 1½ teaspoon of butter.
Remove excess fat from the lower leg. Rinse them and dry them with a paper towel. Combine olive oil with mustard, honey, sweet pepper, finely chopped rosemary and garlic squeezed by Prague.
Rub the lower leg with the marinade. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Place in an ovenproof dish and set aside for at least an hour. If you have the opportunity, leave the meat in marinade overnight. Then wrap the dish with cling film and put in the fridge. Take it out for an hour by baking to warm up to room temperature.
Get the oven to 200°C. Put an ovenproof dish (of course without foil) to the middle oven level. Bake chicken uncovered for about 40 minutes. From time to time, pour the meat with juice melting into the dish. At the end of baking, put a piece of butter on each lower leg.
Remove the baked meat from the oven so as not to dry it. Serve with any additions, e.g. potatoes and cucumber salad.
