This weekend, the second stage of the 2025 season of Formula 1 begins. For having sprint in GP da Chinathere will be only one free practice, from Friday (21) to Saturday (22).
In the Australian GP, the official debut of F1 cars on the tracks, Lando Norris, from McLaren, came out with victory, with Max Verstappen, from Red Bull Racing, and Mercedes George Russell, completing the podium.

What are F1 Sprint races and how?
Sprint races are shorter races, with a third of the normal tests, implemented to give more dynamic proof weekend. The first sprint took place at the Silverstone GP in July 2021. Since then, every year have this race mode.
Sprints always happen on Saturday. The grid for her is defined on Friday, after the only weekend free practice. This way, cars spend more time at running than training, which also helps maximize the score of pilots and teams in the stage.
The first eight places punctuate. The first receives eight points, the second, seven, and so on to the eighth, which gains a point. In addition, the test time limit is one hour.
Brazil is the only country that has hosted Sprints since the beginning year. In the last year, McLaren was doubled, with Lando Norris and Oscar Pistri in the first two places, respectively. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari closed the podium.
