Israel’s Defense Forces (IDF) expanded their land and aerial operations in the Gaza Strip at dawn on Thursday (20). According to the Ministry of Health, controlled by Hamas, at least 70 were killed in the most recent attack, raising the total of fatalities to more than 700 in the last two days.
Local reports indicate that six houses in eastern Khan Youis were hit by Israeli bombings, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 people and injuries in tens.
The Israeli army said it will continue the offensive and that its troops advanced to the Netzarim corridor, which divides the north and south of the Gaza Strip.
The new offensive comes after Israel intercepted a ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Rebelde Houthi group in another chapter of the resumption of conflict in the Middle East after the end of the ceasefire between Israeli forces and Hamas.
