A Palestine Football Association (PFA) released a video to announce the national team’s summoned to the next FIFA games against Jordan and Iraq, for World Cup qualifiers of 2026.
Amid the rubble of war, the recording shows children finding photos of the Palestinian cast players, such as defender Mus’ab al-Batat, striker Oday Dabbgah and defender Milad Termanini, until the cast of 26 players.
At the end of the video, after leaving a makeshift classroom, the group of children gathers to play soccer, while portraits of the cast are hung in a goal.
According to PFA data, more than 400 players, referees and sports leaders have been killed since the start of the confrontation in October 2023.
The Palestinian team faces Jordan this Thursday (20), at 15:15 (from Brasilia). The match against Iraq takes place on the 25th, at the same time.
