PF accuses X not to comply with orders and allow broadcasts of blocked users

The Federal Police (PF) informed Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Court (STF), that platform X (former Twitter) has failed to comply with profile blocking orders, allowing live transmissions blocked and facilitating the financing of people affected by court decisions. The report was sent to the minister on March 11 and details the platform’s failures, including the allegation that the transmissions occurred on other platforms, which PF refuted.

According to the report, X Brasil claimed that live broadcasts made by blocked profiles were hosted on other platforms, but PF was able to prove that the lives were taking place directly on platform X. An example cited in the document is a transmission made by Allan dos Santos, from April 8, 2024. showing that the transmission happened within the X platform itself.

The PF also pointed out that the same situation occurred with journalist Rodrigo Constantino, whose profile was blocked by Moraes on April 12, 2024. Live broadcast was accessed directly by the X application, without the need for VPN, and a link to YouTube was displayed in the blocked profile, allowing the continuity of the transmission.

In addition, the report points out that platform X allowed links to donations to communicators to be displayed, even in profiles with blocked content. The PF also noted that by accessing Allan dos Santos’s profile through the browser on a computer, it was possible to view a “send bonus” button on the blocked profile.

The information request was made in the context of fake news investigations involving journalist Juliana Dal Piva.

Allan dos Santos, who currently lives in the United States, is investigated in two inquiries in the STF: Fake News and digital militias. He was sentenced to 1 year and 7 months in prison in 2022 for slander and became a fugitive from Brazilian justice in 2021.
