The leader of, (RJ), admitted this Thursday (20) the possibility of the hair being analyzed by a special committee instead of going straight to the plenary.
The direct consequence is that the proposal would be slower than the hypothesis previously sparked, but Sostenes seeks an agreement with the president of the house, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), so that the proposal is not shelved.
“If he [Motta] Create special commission, also meets, the decision is his. I want to solve the amnesty problem, whether on the special commission or here [no plenário]”He told reporters after leaders meeting.
“This decision is not mine, it is from President Hugo Mota, but it has to be resolved so that we do not have the displeasure of having to enter into obstruction [quando parlamentares bloqueiam novas votações]”He added.
According to the parliamentarian, the president of the house promised a conversation on the subject before the trip to Japan on Saturday (22).
Sostenes says the project already has the support of over 260 parliamentarians. And that Bolsonaro will talk to PSDB President Marconi Perillo and Somos President Renata Abreu to seek more support.
The leader had promised, in the Bolsonarist demonstration of last Sunday (16), to submit on Thursday (20) an urgent request of the project, a document with subscription of 171 deputies or leaders who represent this total, which goes directly to plenary, without undergoing commissions.
But this Thursday, he took the theme to the College of Leaders, questioning Motta whether to install a special commission or that the party protocol requests urgency. He added that if the president of the house does not take in this regard, the opposition will obstruct the voting agenda.
According to reports, Motta said they would talk about amnesty until Friday (21) and left to the scene, claiming a commitment. He had a brief meeting with former mayor Arthur Lira (PP-AL) then.
Sostenes also said that the party will not take advantage of the absence of Motta and the interim presidency of Altineu Côrtes (PL-RJ) to guide the proposal.
During the leader meeting, Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) said the possibility of guiding the project would create an institutional crisis, as the Supreme Court (STF) should judge next week if the former president (PL) becomes a defendant in case of attempted coup.
“Next week says it will catch fire, because there will be the session in the Supreme. So, I understand that they are nervous, but they cannot take the house for this kind of adventure,” the petista told journalists.
Last year, the project was voted at the CCJ (Constitution and Justice Commission), but returned to stake, because then-President Arthur Lira (PP-AL) had decided to create a special committee for analysis of the proposal, which did not occur.
Since then, pockets have been pressing to get the project in the house, including demonstrations. The last one happened in Rio de Janeiro, last Sunday, and the other happens on the 6th, on Paulista Avenue, in São Paulo.
