High at Globo in recent years, Tiago Medeiros will gain a great chance in the station. The company’s sports area chose to be the starter of Bora Pro game, a new pre-game attraction of the Brazilian Championship broadcasts.
This is the first time that James will be the title of a project from Globo on a national network. Since 2021, he has been on the rise in the company after being cast to cover the Tokyo Olympic Games that year. Since then, he replaces presenters of spectacular sport and follows the game whenever necessary.
Bora Pro game will last 30 minutes and airs before the Sunday of the Brazilian Games and the Brazilian Cup aired by Globo weekly, from 16h. Globo will play up to three games for different regions of Brazil.
In the first part, James will be in the main game of the round on the edge of the lawn of the match. The presenter will highlight the movement at the stadium and surroundings, as well as interacting with the teams that are around the country dedicated to the transmission of other confrontations of the time.
Already in the second half, the narrators who will command the conveyed matches assume the attraction with the repercussion of the latest events before the initial whistle.
In addition to Bora for the game, the station will keep, at least for another year, the game follows the game, postpartid on Wednesday nights, led by Lucas Gutierrez and Paulo Nunes. In parallel, Tiago will continue as a starter host of Globo Esporte Pernambuco, as well as participating in other attractions as soon as he is summoned.
Between 2025 and 2029, Globo will be entitled to nine games per round of the Brazilian Championship. The company has a contract with Libra and League Forte União. In all, 342 of the 380 games per year will be shown.
The only game Globo will not show on its platforms will be an exclusive match of Amazon, negotiated by the Forte União League. It is practically the scheme in force in Brasileirão since 2019, as Athletico-PR had no pay-per-view contract with the broadcaster.
