Russian and American experts should discuss the conditions of a ceasefire in Saudi Arabia that include stopping attacks on energy equipment.
Ukrainian and American officials will meet on Monday in Saudi Arabia to negotiate the proposed stop of Russian and Ukrainian attacks on energy equipment. This was announced on Thursday by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Greeny, according to AFP report TASR.
“There will be our technical teams,” said Zelenskyj at a press conference in Norway. The Ukrainian president said that at the same time in Saudi Arabia, independent meetings of Russian and American officials will be held in order to agree on the conditions of the ceasefire involving the above -mentioned stopping attacks on the energy infrastructure. Advisor to Russian President Yuri Ušakov informed that Moscow will be represented by Grigorij Karasin, Chairman of the International Affairs Committee in the Russian Council of the Federation, and Sergei Beseda, advisor to the head of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB). Ušakov announced this after an interview with the US National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, on which he said they both agreed to send teams “experts” to the negotiations.
According to him, the delegations are also supposed to discuss the “initiatives” that Russian President Vladimir Putin with US Donald Trump in connection with the Black Sea.
