Unimed Rio Branco Board is reelected and pediatrician assumes superintendence

Unimed Rio Branco reaffirms its growth trajectory and commitment to health by reelecting its board to quadrennium 2025-2029. At an ordinary general meeting marked by the broad participation of cooperative doctors, the current management was unanimously acclaimed, a reflection of the financial advance and the expansion of the services offered since 2021.

The news in this new phase is the arrival of the pediatrician Kátia Simone Menezes, who assumes the Superintendence of the Cooperative.

During the Assembly, the Executive Board presented ongoing projects, such as the Unimed Mais space and the Unimed Hospital Complex, initiatives that seek to strengthen therapeutic, outpatient and hospital assistance.

“Today we present to the members a Unimed Rio Branco with its rescued principles, focused on the valorization of the cooperative doctor and the expansion of the beneficiary’s assistance in a sustainable way,” says Reelected President Dr. Marcus Yomura.

Reelected Market Director, Dr. Fernando Ribeiro, stressed the cooperative’s new business opportunities, such as the commercialization of Unimed Insurance Products, which guarantee access to hospitals of excellence, such as Albert Einstein and Syrian-Lebanese.

“Our sustainable growth is the result of dialogue and feasibility studies, always seeking balance to serve our business customers, associations and unions,” says the director.

Oversight

The function of the Superintendent at Unimed Rio Branco has the mission of leading and improving their own and accredited services, ensuring the quality of assistance. An example is the 24H Children’s Emergency Care, which has been consolidated as a reference in urgency and pediatric emergency.

“It is an honor to integrate this board that has raised the quality of assistance to over 35,000 beneficiaries. Our commitment is to continue expanding services and investing in the customer experience,” says the new superintendent, Dr. Kátia Simone Menezes.

Growth and Appreciation

Unimed Rio Branco stands out among the health operators of Brazil, especially in the northern region, surpassing geographic and composition challenges of technical teams. For the vice president and now also administrative director, Dr. Renato Correia, the cooperative is one of the main income generators for doctors in Acre.

“The results are the result of cooperative and collective work. We invest in the valorization of the doctor and the generation of direct and indirect jobs, always focusing on quality assistance,” says the cardiologist.

Part of the investments made in the formation and training of cooperative doctors and collaborators is the result of the institutional partnership of Unimed Rio Branco with Sescoop/OCB-AC, which aims to promote the development of cooperativism in an integrated and sustainable way.
