An ultimatum was hidden by the letter sent to the Supreme Leader of Iran. According to the US president, he gave two months to Iran to achieve a new nuclear deal.

It is not clear whether the two -month period begins since the letter was delivered or when the negotiations begin. But if Iran insists on rejecting Trump’s approach and does not negotiate, the chances of American or Israeli military action against his nuclear facilities will increase dramatically.

Why is Trump worried?

Iran’s nuclear program has advanced for the last four years and has been closer than ever to the production of nuclear weapons. Its stock in the enriched 60% is enough for six nuclear bombs if enriched at 90%, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency. Iran has denied that it is seeking to build nuclear weapons.

Two weeks ago, in an interview with Fox News, Trump revealed that he had sent a letter to the Iranian leader by proposing direct negotiations. A day later, Trump said the US was “in the last moments” with Iran.

“We can’t let them get a nuclear weapon. Something will happen very soon. I would prefer a peace deal from the other option, but the other option will solve the problem, “he said.

The letter was delivered a few days ago by Trump’s envoy Steve Whitkov to United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) at a meeting in Abu Dhabi.

A day later, MBZ envoy Anwar Gargash traveled to Tehran and handed the letter to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

What did the letter write?

Sources said Trump’s letter to Hameni was “tough”. On the one hand, he proposed negotiations on a new nuclear deal, but on the other hand he warned of the consequences if Iran rejects the offer and continues to promote his nuclear program.

Trump told the letter that he did not want to negotiate without end and reported a two -month period to reach an agreement, two sources said. Before the letter was delivered to the Iranians, the White House informed several US allies, such as Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates about its content.

‘Stop supplying Houthi’

US raids hit Houthi’s stronghold in the Yemeni capital, Sanaaa, reported media outlets by Houthi, while US President Donald Trump said today that Iran should stop immediately sending their military supplies.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the US blows against Houtha will “get worse” and that the rebels “will be completely exterminated!”

The bombings hit a neighborhood near the capital’s airport, residents said in Reuters.

The blows are coming after the US has launched a wave of attacks on Yemeni areas controlled by Houthi, supported by Iran, as rebels said last week that they were repeating ships on the Red Sea in support of the Palestinians in Gaza.
