In Slovakia, waste sorting is mandatory, but in some cases many people have a problem with which container should go a specific waste. Where to throw canned fish and fish products?
Waste should be sorted in order to protect the environment. However, we can not always cope with certain waste. One of the “most problematic” waste is canned fish. Where to throw them away and do I have to wash them? We explain.
Where to throw canned fish? A lot of people make a mistake
- Can of fish, meat, feed for pets and processed products are all recyclable and should therefore be disposed of in a yellow container for metals and plastics. Keep in mind, however, that it is good to flatten them before placing in the container to take up less space.
Should cans also wash? Many people regularly make the mistake of rinsing them before throwing them away. Few know that it doesn’t have to be done. It pays to remove food residues but should not be thoroughly washedbecause it is contrary to the idea of ecology and increases water consumption. Cans will be cleaned anyway in the waste management.
What shouldn’t be thrown into yellow containers? This is not a place for this waste
The yellow container is, among other things, for cans, bottles and plastic packaging, closures, capsules, plastic bags, shopping bags, aluminum containers, milk and drink cartons. So what does not belong to the yellow container?
- Plastic electronic devices
- packaging from colors and varnishes
- construction waste
- used batteries
- syringes, cannles and other medical devices
- Oil packaging
- municipal waste
Do you separate waste?
Never go to the toilet. Slovaks do this all the time and cause failures
