BRASILIA (REUTERS)-The Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann, said on Friday that he expects an improvement in the upcoming decisions of the Central Bank Monetary Policy Committee (Copom) on interest rates and also that the autarchy takes into account the current economic situation in future meetings.
“I expect the Central Bank now, the monetary authority, consider the economic reality of the country, consider, finally, the issue of inflation to have a policy more compatible with our reality,” he said in an interview with CNN Brazil.
“We are able to have a better situation in monetary policy. It is my expectation with future decisions.”

The minister also recalled that the Selic rate announced by Copom this week was already priced since last year.
