The Supreme Court judges four different resources that ask for the removal. Dino, Zanin and Moraes declared themselves prevented from voting in the processes in which they are targets. The Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, spoke against the requests of the defenses.
The removal requests were made by the defenses of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), former Minister Walter Braga Netto and reserve general Mario Fernandes-all reported by PGR on charges of participation in the coup plot.
They ask Dino and Zanin to remove on the grounds that the two have already filed lawsuits against Bolsonaro before taking their functions in the Supreme Court. In the case of Moraes, the defenses claim that the minister would be one of the victims of the coup plans and, therefore, would have a direct interest in the process.

Kassio had already voted against the removal of Moraes in December after a request made by the former president’s defense. At the time, Mendonça was the only one to vote for.
The STF’s first class meets next Tuesday (25) and Wednesday (26) to decide whether the complaint against the central core of the coup plot should be received or rejected.
The Supreme Court said it will reinforce the security of its headquarters to trial the complaint against the former president after “risk analysis and the current scenario.”
“Among the actions are greater access control, environmental monitoring, reinforced policing and emergency response teams,” says the STF.
The security scheme was coordinated by the Judicial Police Secretariat, with the support of the Federal District Public Security Bureau and other partner bodies.
Judgment is a milestone in the process because it can make Bolsonaro and allies in defendants for the crimes of attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law and coup d’état, damage qualified by violence and serious threat against union patrimony, deterioration of overturned assets and participation in armed criminal organization.
