In partnership with Umbro, the Sport Club do Recife presented to the fans on Friday (21), the new team’s main shirt for the 2025 and 2026 season. The mantle is a tribute to the club’s trajectory, which this year, completes 120 years of existence. The uniform carries symbolism, telling the history of tradition in the colors of the club, and remembering moments lived over all these years.
Shirt details
With a different V collar, the shirt keeps the traditional horizontal stripes in black and red, as well as graphics alluding to the club’s birthday throughout the front. Inside, the inscription “120 years of” appears in a stylized art, accompanied by the phrase “a reason to live”. Already in the back of the collar, the full name of the lion of the island is embroidered.
Below the shield, positioned in the chest, were inserted the year of founding Sport (1905) and the year when the club completes its 120th anniversary (2025), both highlighted in a shiny golden tone. The clothing also has a commemorative patch in the bar of the shirt, reinforcing the celebration of the island lion. All of these details, as well as the numbers and the names of the athletes, are in golden color.
“This uniform is a representation of Sport’s glorious history. Every detail was designed to symbolize and celebrate our 120 years, marking unforgettable moments in the hearts of our fans,” said Sport Vice President of Marketing Eduardo Arruda.
Launch
In addition to the launch of the shirt, Sport will promote a special action throughout the city, providing interactions with the fans and offering exclusive awards for red-blacks. Fans should be aware of the club’s social networks for more information about these commemorative initiatives.
The new shirts will be available for purchase from this Saturday (22), at the PST store – both online and in person – in addition to the official Umbro website.
