O Supreme Federal Court (STF) It begins to analyze, this Friday (21), in virtual plenary, the case in which the federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) became a defendant for illegal gun possession.
Magistrates have until next Friday (28) for the voting registration. This stage of the trial decides whether Zambelli will be convicted or acquitted.
In case of conviction, the ministers propose a penalty, which may be questioned in appeal by the parliamentarian. If acquitted, the case will be filed.
In the virtual plenary, the magistrates will analyze two points of the complaint sent by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR).
Firstly, the illegal possession of firearms itself, which has a penalty of up to 4 years in prison. Ministers should also discuss whether she has committed the crime of illegal embarrassment with weapon employment, which may be punishable by a fine or up to one year of imprisonment.
The PGR requested that the deputy lose the possession of gun and pay $ 100,000 in moral damages.
