New generation of combat jets will be the “most lethal ever built,” according to the Republican; Trump is the 47th US President, the same number of the plane

United States President Donald Trump (Republican) announced on Friday (21.mar.2025) a contract with Boeing to manufacture the new f -47 fighter. The aircraft will be the 6th generation of fighters developed by the US Air Force and, according to the Republican, will be the “More lethal ever built”.

The previous generation, the F-22, has been operating by the US Air Force since 2005. It was built by Lockheed Martin in partnership with Boeing. For the F-47, Lockheed was left out. The new jet bears in the name the same number as Trump, which is the 47th US President.

“It’s something like no one has ever seen before in terms of all the attributes of a corpus jet. There is nothing that comes close to it, from speed to maneuverability, to what may have in terms of payload, and this has been developed for a long period of time.”said the Republican in the White House.

Trump said the aircraft is “Practically invisible” to the radars and that the “Enemies of America never see this coming”.

After Trump’s statement, the US Air Force issued a statement from the corporation’s head of the corporation, General David Allvin, “Monumental Salto” from the new hunt for the country. This is the declaration (PDF – 147 KB).

“Our mission is clear. We will guarantee that the skies of America remain safe and our dissuasion remains unshakable. With the F-47, we will strengthen our global position, keeping our enemies unbalanced and away. And when they look up, nothing beyond the right defeat waiting for those who dare to challenge us.”said David Allvin in the note.

US authorities did not report, however, when the fighters will be used by the Air Force or details about production and partnership with Boeing. According to Trump, the White House cannot speak the price, because it would reveal “Some of the technologies and the size of the plane”.

Boeing has faced financial problems for years, with and related to the division of commercial aircraft. The deal with the US government can boost the company’s revenue and reinforce the production of military fighters.
