The Russian Ministry of Health should perform a medical examination of Ukrainian citizens within the same time.
Ukrainian nationals who have no legal reasons to stay in the territory of the Russian Federation must legitimize their status by 10 September. This is stated in the decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday. TASR reports this based on the report of TASS and the German news television N-TV.
The decree also states that foreigners and persons without nationality located in the self -proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LLR) and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DRR), as well as in the occupied territories of the Zaporoza and Cherson areas, must undergo medical examination by 10 June to confirm that they do not spread infectious diseases and use drugs.
TASS also reported that since February this year, Russia has introduced a regime of deportations of illegal migrants. Such persons must legalize their stay or leave Russia by April 30.
Russia, contrary to international law in 2014, annexed the occupied Ukrainian Crimea Peninsula and occupied parts of the Donetsk, Luhanská, Cherian and Zaporozka areas in 2022 after the invasion of the invasion of Ukraine, recalled N-TV.
According to Kyiv Independent, this decree is part of the effort of the Kremlin to Russify the conquered and annexed areas of Ukraine. There was a pressure on the Ukrainians there to receive Russian citizenship. At the same time, the Russians were resettled to the occupied areas.
