In Europe, there are two sixth -generation fighters under development: Future Combat Air System (FCAS), developed by France, Germany and Spain, and the global Combat Air Program, developed by Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom.

The truth is that little is known about this aircraft beyond its concept. The 20 billion dollars that Pentagon will assign to Boeing to create this aircraft also include the development of a “high levels of autonomy” combat drones, as well as specific weaponry, electronic war systems, sensors and an ecosystem that allows these systems to communicate with each other.
The F-47 will have a greater range than its predecessor and should have a higher stealing capacity than the F-22, which is already considered one of the world’s most stealthy combat planes. The president revealed that the aircraft will be able to fly at a speed twice than the sound.
It is estimated that the cost per aircraft, as soon as serial production begins, can rise to $ 300 million. However, judging by the development of former American aircraft, it is possible that this value may be far higher.
