Gardeners are also awakening with the awakening nature, who already lacked work on the land. While many shrubs are eagerly waiting for first aid after the winter, and also for a new “haircut”, there are also plants that we should not even approach scissors in our hands.
Each gardener has exactly mapped, when the first germinating plants, or the first flowers on perennials and ornamental shrubs appear on the beds and elsewhere. Among them we look forward to a beautifully fragrant lilac, azaleas, goldsmiths, clitis and more. But for them, the spring cut could be very dangerous.

Lilac – protect its flowers
Why not go into the spring modification of lilac? To explain this, it is necessary to know that lilac blooms on last year’s wood. The buds are ready long before the inflorescences appear, so if we remove such shoots, we would certainly deprive ourselves of a lot of future flowers. Therefore, it will be best to wait for a time to cut after flowering. Don’t worry, you don’t neglect anything, on the contrary, lilacs thank you. Feel free to return to them at the end of spring, or early summer – that’s still a time that allows the shrubs to strengthen and grow enough to bloom next spring.
What is your Clematis at home?
If you have Clematis in the garden, you will have to find out whether your variant blooms on new shoots, or for this purpose “uses” last year. In this case, both options are in the game. While, for example, Clematis Montana blooms on older shoots, Clematis Viticella and others need fresh twigs. So if we cut Montana, we would make a big mistake. On the contrary, Viticella welcomes the fine cut, and we even support flowering. It’s not that simple, but gardeners will certainly cope.
Azaleks in spring let grow and bloom
Like lilac, it is ISALKY. They also form buds on last year’s shoots and the spring cut would mean loss of flowers, and that would be a great pity. Why do we grow azaleas? After all, because of the flowers. The right cut time will also resemble the care of lilacs, postpone it, but definitely do not neglect. Meanwhile, you can only enjoy blooming azaleas. The scissors will come after their flowering. Do not rush, you can do it at the beginning of summer.
Zlatice will flood the garden with beauty
A lot of people call him golden rain, but it’s right called Zlatice (the real golden rain looks different). It is a beautiful yellow flowering shrub that is wrapped in the garden in the Golden Cabat as one of the first. After the previous lines, it is clear to everyone where there is a reason that prohibits the early shaping of gold. But after flowering, you must not forget the goldsmith. This is the only way to thicken the shrub and in the summer it will make a real green great in the garden. In addition, more young shoots will be built that will be used for creating new flowers next year.
The same advice applies to other plants
As with the above -mentioned shrubs, we must also be careful in the care of camellia, which form buds in the previous year. There is also a danger of magnolia, wisteria, or Deutzii. Even the best effort to do the best possible treatment could also ruin the efforts of nature to make you happy with the beautiful flowers of your garden wards. That would be a great pity.
