The demonstration is for the Supreme Court to receive the complaint against the 8 accused of spreading “fake news” as part of the attempted coup
The (Attorney General’s Office) requested this Friday (21.mar.2025) that the (Federal Supreme Court) receives the complaint against the group accused of managing operations of “Disinformation” in an attempt coup d’état after the defeat of the former president (PL) For the President (PT) In the 2022 elections.
According to the complaint, they would have acted to disseminate false information and virtual attacks, with the objective of discrediting the electoral system, creating conspiracy theories and fostering the polarization of society. This is the manifestation (PDF – 914 kb).

- Angelo Martins Denicoli;
- PAULO RENATO DE OLIVEIRA FIGUEIREDO FILHO;
- Reginaldo Vieira de Abreu;
- Carlos Cesar Moretzsohn Rocha;
- Giancarlo Gomes Rodrigues;
- Marcelo Araújo Bormevet;
- Guilherme Marques Almeida.
The imputed crimes were those of Armed criminal organization, attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, coup d’état, damage qualified by violence and serious threat and deterioration of listed heritage.
This is PGR’s 4th and last demonstration in relation to the prior defenses of the accused by coup. In all, the PGR 34 people on February 18, 2025, among them, Bolsonaro.
In addition to an attempted coup, the organization’s operations, according to the Attorney’s Office, involved the arrest and murder of STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes and the deaths of Lula and his deputy, (PSB).
Next Steps
Now the rapporteur, Alexandre de Moraes, must release the trial. After the release, the president of the 1st class, Cristiano Zanin, will mark the collegiate’s sessions to evaluate the receipt of the complaint.
Zanin is marking 3 trial sessions. Two extraordinary in the mornings of the 3rd and Wednesday and one at the regular time of meeting of the collegiate, at 14h on Thursday.
Three trials already have date. The defenses, the Attorney General of the Republic, Paulo Gonet, and the ministers who also make up the class: Moraes, Flávio Dino, Luiz Fux and Carmen Lúcia will be heard.
At the end of the votes and sessions, the accused can become defendants in a criminal case in court.
