Bill 137/25 allocates funds from the National Public Security Fund, the Worker Support Fund and the Export Guarantee Fund for the construction, reform and modernization of federal prisons. The House of Representatives analyzes the proposal.
Currently, laws that regulate the operation of these funds do not provide for the use of resources for this purpose.
The text also allows the federal government to invest in prison improvements the 50% of the collection of lotteries for states when not used.
Overcrowded arrests
