Tesla faces new Cybertrucks “recall” in the United States

Regulatory authorities order recall of more than 46,000 vehicles because of the risk of external panel detachment

NHTSA (National Administration of United States Highway Traffic) announced on Thursday (20.mar.2025) the recall of 46,096 units of Cybertruck, model. The identified problem involves an outer panel located along the windshield, which can drop during driving and cause accidents.

The component, called “cantrail assembly”is fixed to the structure of the vehicle by structural adhesive. According to NHTSA, Tesla’s solution includes a more resistant adhesive to environmental wear and additional reinforcements. The replacement will be made free of charge, and the notifications to the owners must be sent from May 19th.
