The country needed the rain and it arrived. Admittedly, it was accompanied by gusts of strong wind, but the rain was protagonist last week throughout the national territory and it is official that all the dams in Portugal are already above 20% of capacity. With the Algarve to also see its dams with water levels above those recorded in recent times, it is time for the algarve to ‘ask’ a few days of sun to repair the damage arising from the Martinho depression.
In this case, the request of the remaining Portuguese Algarve and the Sun is already on the way and is even a case to say that it comes to ‘stay’. According to the predictions of the Portuguese Institute of Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), it is already next Tuesday, March 25, that the Sun returns to the street all over the country.
Weekend will be rain
In Lisbon, the forecast for the weekend is still rain, but from Tuesday (March 25), the sun is back and temperatures will also rise between three to five degrees. This means that throughout the week can rely on maximum temperatures to be around 19/20 degrees and the minimums around 10/11 degrees.
In Porto, the sun will also be in sight from Tuesday, but the maximum temperatures will be slightly below those who will be registered in Lisbon. We talk about temperatures around 18 and 19 degrees. As for the minimums, in the unbeaten city you can expect cold nights with temperatures to reach the five degrees.
Get ready for the Sun’s return on the Algarve
The Algarve will not be an exception to the rule and the sun will shine again under the one that is one of the most touristy regions in the country. Throughout the week you can count on a few days when the maximum temperature reaches 22 degrees in the district of Faro. The minimum temperatures can only reach 11 degrees.
We recommend:
In the private cases of Porto and Lisbon, while the sun is not enough, get ready for a weekend marked by rain and cold, and in these two districts an orange alert was issued. The district of Faro, this Saturday, March 22, is under orange warning and on Sunday, March 23, the district capital will be under yellow warning.
